Job Overview: ALLIES Family Solutions is looking for a motivated, energetic, and compassionate Community Based Supports/Respite provider to join our team! We are looking for a positive, kind, and compassionate individual who is ready to put their skills to use and work with children a community setting. Staff would work with children from ages of 3-17 with developmental disabilities. Provide opportunity for children to explore their interests, practice skills learned in other therapeutic environments, and learn through interactions in typical community activities. Provider will provide therapy in the community and home as outlined in the plan in providing skill based learning. Ensure the child is involved in age-appropriate activities and is engaging with typical peers according to the ability of the child. Enhance the child’s skills related to activities of daily living, and reinforce skills to achieve or maintain mobility, sensory-motor, communication, socialization, personal care, relationship building, and participation in leisure and community activities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Integrate child with their typical peers and provide opportunities for children to engage in activities and routines
Provide caregiver relief for parents/caregivers as requested
Collect data on child's performance and behavior each therapy session
Communicate with parents and caregivers regularly
Participate in training sessions to further develop skills, as well as continuing education opportunities for the staff working with children
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
18 years + of age
High school diploma or GED
Pass a criminal background check
Current driver's license
Current vehicle registration and insurance
CPR/First Aid Certified (able to obtain at ALLIES Family Solutions)
