Job Overview: ALLIES Family Solutions is looking for a motivated, energetic, and compassionate Behavior Intervention Professional (BIP) to join our team! We are looking for a positive, kind, and compassionate individual who is ready to put their skills to use and work with children in their home and community setting. The BIP therapists will work with children 3-21, providing therapy to help children learn new skills and overcome challenges they may be facing. Therapists will provide an opportunity for children to learn daily living skills as well as decreasing maladaptive behaviors to live a more independent life. Therapist will provide therapy in various locations in the community and home as outlined in the plan in providing skill based learning. Therapists ensure the child is involved in age-appropriate activities and is engaging with typical peers according to the ability of the child. Staff will work with a child in increasing communication, socialization, personal living, daily living and community safety and access skills.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement behavioral techniques and strategies with children based on individualized treatment plans
Collect data on child's performance and behavior as outlined on their program implementation plan
Communicate with parents and caregivers regularly to ensure successful implementation of individualized treatment plans
Participate in training sessions to further develop skills as a Behavioral Interventionist, as well as continuing education opportunities for the staff working with children
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Master's Degree in Human Service Field
1200 hours of supervised experience with Developmental Disability Population under the age of 21 years old
Pass a criminal background check
Current driver's license
Current vehicle registration and insurance
CPR/First Aid Certified (able to obtain at ALLIES Family Solutions)
Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT Training) (able to obtain at ALLIES Family Solutions)
